About FinNest

FinNest started from a simple frustration: most financial calculators online are buried under pop-ups, forced sign-ups, auto-playing ads, and walls of unrelated content before you can actually enter a number. We wanted something faster and more respectful of your time.

What we built

FinNest is a collection of free, browser-based calculators covering the financial questions people actually search for — loan payments, mortgage estimates, compound interest, savings goals, debt payoff timelines, budgeting splits, and more. Every calculation runs locally in your browser using plain JavaScript. We don't ask for an account, an email address, or a subscription to use any tool on this site.

Why the guides matter as much as the calculators

A number without context is easy to misuse. Alongside every calculator category, we've written straightforward guides that explain the formula behind the tool, the assumptions it makes, and the common mistakes people run into — so you're not just getting an output, you understand what it means.

How FinNest stays free

FinNest is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense, displayed alongside our free content. We don't charge for any calculator or guide, and we don't gate features behind a paywall. Advertising is what allows us to keep every tool free and accessible to everyone.

How we write and check our content

Every calculator on FinNest is built around the same standard formulas used in banking and finance textbooks — amortization for loans and mortgages, compound interest for growth projections, present/future value for savings and retirement goals. Before a guide or calculator page is published, we manually verify its formula against a worked example with real numbers, which is why you'll find a worked example on every calculator page showing exactly how the math plays out for a realistic scenario.
